ParticipantHello,
Whenever a user registers to become a new affiliate, it always returns an error stating the email address is already in use. However, it registers the user properly, I get an email saying there is a new affiliate registration, and when testing a new affiliate signup, I can log in fine with my new account etc.
How do I correct this fake email error and have the user directed to the control panel, rather than telling the user there is an error when there isn’t?
Kind regards

ModeratorHi can you enable debug mode and then check the log file after another person has registered. Can you also confirm whether or not the e-mail they use existed already in your database?

[10/25/2015 7:58 PM] – SUCCESS : Email was sent successfully by WordPressIt does work, it’s just returning errors that aren’t errors.
There is already the email address in the database but that’s only the email address the user has used to sign up to my website in the first place, not signing up to affiliate.

ModeratorWhat are the errors you are receiving?

ParticipantE-Mail Address * is in use
Register on my site, you’ll see what I mean: https://www.trancepodcasts.co.uk/affiliate-home/affiliate-register/
I’ll explain again:
When a user registers as an affiliate, it will throw an error notice “E-Mail Address * is in use” even though the email address has never been used before.
When it throw this error after pressing “Submit” the user has actually been registered successfully! So, this error notice is pointless and should not be happening.
Kind regards

ParticipantHello,
I have found the cause of the issue. It’s a plugin issue (no surprises there!), Yoast SEO was causing the error to occur. Since disabling it, everything works fine. So it seems there’s some sort of conflict between the two.
Kind regards

KeymasterI have just installed the latest version of yoast seo plugin. Registration seems to be working fine.

ParticipantRegistration works fine for me too with Yoast SEO installed. It’s the false error that appears when Yoast SEO installed that’s the issue.
Anyway, I’ve uninstalled Yoast SEO to get this to work in the meantime.

KeymasterI mean I don’t get that false error. So it must be conflicting with some other scripts.
