ParticipantHi, I just launched my new affiliate program with your plugin and am super excited! Everything is working perfectly except the actual sign up. Once my members submit the form, nothing happens on the website end. They get an email, but it looks as if the application hasn’t gone through. Is there a way to add a custom confirmation message or to perform a page redirect so that they know their application has been received?
Thanks,
Melissa Storm

KeymasterHi, Do you have the “Automatically approve a new affiliate” option enabled in the General settings? If so the affiliate should see this message upon form submission:
“Thank you. Your registration is now complete. You can log into the affiliate area and begin promoting.”
You can customise it in the “Messaging” tab (Affiliates -> Settings -> Messaging -> aff_app_submitted_auto_approved).
Do you have a membership/user management plugin installed? Please provide a link to your registration page so I can take a look.

ParticipantHi, Shadow. I originally had it set to auto-approve, but then when I was told of the error, I switched to manual review (which I prefer). The users who have since registered are hitting the same error. Here’s my registration page > http://www.TheAuthorSite.com/affiliates
Thank you!

KeymasterThe registration page looks different. Have you made any customisation to it?

ParticipantNot to the plugin and not to the signup forms. The customizations are purely aesthetic and made on the front end.

KeymasterWell, This is not how the registration form looks like in our plugin. It should have more fields:

And this is how the settings should appear:

ParticipantYes, but as you can see in the screenshot you provided, there are easy checkboxes to remove the options. I don’t consider that customization since it’s an in-built set of options. Could you please help me fix my confirmation screen? I’m getting lots of complaints!

KeymasterThe default options are not custom fields. If you remove them the registration won’t even work.

ParticipantIf the fields are not optional, then maybe you could remove the option to uncheck them? I guess I’ll be uninstalling the plugin and searching for another solution. Thanks though.

KeymasterI just did some testing by disabling certain fields. It looks like the registration works fine. I even tried with just the name and email address. Do you have any other registration/user management plugin that could cause this issue?

ParticipantThe registration comes through, but the user doesn’t get a confirmation on screen. Instead it looks as if nothing happens. The form doesn’t change to show a success message or to refresh the page. Is that something you know how to fix?

KeymasterIt’s probably getting stuck somewhere. What happens if you disable these two custom fields?
Have I designed a website for you in the past?
Please provide a link to your website *September 2, 2016 at 12:38 pm #2173emlynchand
ParticipantI just did that. Not sure whether it fixed the problem though. Do you have an update coming to fix the custom field issue?

KeymasterSo it worked after disabling those custom fields?
