    Hi there,

I had a new affiliate contact me today as she just posted her first affiliate link earlier this morning and when she viewed her dashboard it indicated that there were 87 monthly “visits” and 8 visits for the day.

As this didn’t add up, I decided to run a test and posted an affiliate link to a test page on my website and clicked the link to see what would happen. While I didn’t necessarily see what my affiliate had inquired about, I did however notice that I had 3 click through opposed to just the 1. When I referenced the “click tracking” it appeared to have credited me a click through when I edited my post and when i clicked to preview it.

I then found that by simply refreshing the webpage this also appeared as a visit under my dashboard.

Can you please advise as to what may be causing this.

BTW, WP Affiliate Manager has been by far the best affiliate plugin that I have worked with!

    Thanks!

Hi, It seems to be working fine on our development site. So there may be some other reason as to why a click is getting recorded multiple times. Affiliates manager records a click when the init action hook gets fired by WordPress

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Action_Reference/init

Unless the site is loading multiple times, it shouldn’t really record 3 clicks for an event. Can you please deactivate one plugin at a time to see if it’s being caused by a plugin? If it isn’t please do a theme test by temporarily switching a default WordPress theme (e.g. Twenty 17, 16 or 15).
