Hi! How can I have affiliate commissions deducted from the next Simple Membership payment, instead of paying them out separately? Thanks!

Hi, is this commission going to be an incremental commission or is this a one of commission for the membership payment?

Hi, as far as I know this cannot be achieved with the plugin unless you pay them separately like you have been doing.

However I have submitted a message to the plugin developers to investigate further your issue/request.

    Thank you

You mean like deduct the payment gateway fees before the commission?

No. I mean, instead of having two transactions (and pay gateway fees twice): (1) receive a monthly membership payment, (2) pay out affiliate commissions… have only one transaction: receive a monthly membership payment minus affiliate commissions. Hope this is more clear?

oh I see what you mean. No, you can’t do that. Affiliate commissions are accumulated over time then paid out at the end of the month or so (you decide what your payout schedule is). This is the standard practice. It allows the site admin to go through all the commissions to see if any affiliate is doing any funny business and take care of things (if need be). You can also add a delay of couple of weeks before paying the commissions out so refunds can be accounted for (if needed). All the top sites in the world follow this same model. We are not interested in changing that model as it is already proven to be the best option.

Got it, thanks! Although, those two things are not really mutually exclusive. You can still have delayed affiliate commissions and credit them to the next membership dues.
