    Hello all,

It’s been a while since I added a new Image creative to my files, and infact we just transferred everything to a new website / theme so this is the first time updating the plugin with new links.

I created an image link for my affiliates’ sidebars, it works fine for me (even if I paste the code in Word etc), but the first blogger to try it is saying it’s not working – the image isn’t loading, it’s showing a broken jpeg symbol, but the link and the alt text is there. I tried renaming the file so it didn’t trigger adblockers but still no. She doesn’t know what an adblocker is so i don’t think it’s that – but she added affiliate images from other companies at the same time that all worked fine so not sure what’s wrong with mine.

I don’t want to ask any of my other affiliates to try it until i’m sure it will work.

Here are the links using a test user ID i set up – first the original code:
    <a href="https://www.bluelabelle.co.uk/shop?wpam_id=115"><img src="https://www.bluelabelle.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/BL-affiliate250a.jpg" /></a>

Then when I renamed to avoid triggering adblockers:
    <a href="https://www.bluelabelle.co.uk/shop?wpam_id=115"><img src="https://www.bluelabelle.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/BL-sidebar-image-a.jpg" /></a>

Could it be that it’s a jpeg and not png? I’m stumped.

    Thanks for your help.

oh hang on that’s posted the actual image haha, see it’s working for me! Will try and post without that happening:

    <a href="https://www.bluelabelle.co.uk/shop?wpam_id=115"><img src="https://www.bluelabelle.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/BL-affiliate250a.jpg" style="border: 0;" title="Shop Now at Blue Labelle"/></a>

    Renamed file without adblocker triggers:

    <a href="https://www.bluelabelle.co.uk/shop?wpam_id=115"><img src="https://www.bluelabelle.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/BL-sidebar-image-a.jpg" style="border: 0;" title="Shop Now at Blue Labelle"/></a>

    Thanks for your help.

Hi, is your issue resolved? I can’t work out if it is or not. If it isn’t can you provide more information?

    Thank you

    Hi no it isn’t resolved.

One of my affiliate says the image link doesn’t work on her blog, but other brands’ image links do.

Do you have any ideas as to why it wouldn’t work on her site? It obviously worked pasting it here! The alt text shows, but no image, just the broken jpeg symbol.

    Thanks for your help!

It might be related to a cache issue. Ask her if she is running a cache plugin in her site? Also find out if her site is up to date. This is not a simple issue to resolve without more information about her site settings.

    Kind regards

    Hi thank you.

Her website is on the ‘blogger’ network, webaddress ends in .blogspot.com. I will ask her to clear cache and see if it is up to date.

But the fact she was able to upload other sidebar affiliate ad images that day without issue suggests the problem lies in my code.

Could it be that it’s jpeg and not png?

    Many thanks again.

    Hi,

Could it be that it’s jpeg and not png?

I am not sure if the image format has anything to do with this issue. This could be just a one of issue with this image. Maybe it was the browser playing up or a cache.

    Kind regards

Thank you. She has tried multiple times to no avail.

Can you tell me if the code works for you please, showing an image? That will be something at least.

I will then go back to her and ask her to clear the cache. Although unfortunately I believe she is tired of trying it after various failed attempts so she her patience may have run dry.

    Thanks again.

Hi, I tested the following code and it took me to your website without any issues.

    <a href="https://www.bluelabelle.co.uk/shop?wpam_id=115"><img src="https://www.bluelabelle.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/BL-sidebar-image-a.jpg" style="border: 0;" title="Shop Now at Blue Labelle"/></a>

So I can confirm that the code works for me. As I mentioned this is unique to her site unfortunately.

Let me know if you need me to do more testing for you.

    Kind regards

    Thanks I appreciate it.

Did you see the image? Thats the problem, the link is there on her site, but no image, instead a broken jpeg symbol.

If the image loaded for you I’ll be reassured it’s not an issue from my end.

    Thanks again.
