ParticipantHello
I’m pretty new to affiliate marketing. I’d like some clarification. So is it that the whole revenue created by the traffic the affiliate sent to my webstore get distributed to the affiliate? in other words, the revenue is based on all the money came into my paypal through the affiliate?
Is there a way to give commission only for my digital product?
I offer digital product first and offer upsells for physical products in my sales funnel.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi, This is how it works:
1) affiliate a1 sends a visitor v1 to your site. if v1 buys something a1 gets a percentage of that sale as commission $2.00.
2) affiliate a1 sends another visitor v2 to your site. if v2 buys something a1 gets a percentage of that sale as commission $3.00.
3) affiliate a2 sends a visitor v3 to your site. if v3 buys something a2 gets a percentage of that sale as commission $4.00.So affiliate a1 gets $2.00+$3.00 = $5.00 and affiliate a2 gets $4.00.
The plugin just keeps track of the commission. It doesn’t actually send money to the affiliates automatically. They will receive the money when you pay them from your PayPal account (preferably at the end of the month). There is a PayPal mass payment option in our plugin to do this.

– No. It’s because affiliates manager doesn’t know what you are selling. It’s not really an e-commerce plugin.
We do have integration options with all the major e-commerce plugins. If you are using one of them, affiliates manager will get notified when a new sale comes in. It will automatically award commission if that sale was referred by an affiliate.
However, we can still check their documentation to see if we can customize it. Which e-commerce plugin are using?

Participantthanks for your kind reply.
so affiliate manager cannot identify particular items sold by default?
I’m not using ecommerce plug in, just use paypal.
I wanna give commissions only for digital products but not for physical upsell items at my website. is there a way to customize it? maybe by identifying the paypal button id or something?..if so, do I need to hire programmer?Btw, what’s the difference btw your free WP plugin and paid version?
Thanks!

KeymasterWe have plans to add an integration with paypal buttons. In the meantime you might want to use this shopping cart plugin:
It’s light-weight, simple and allows you to accept payments using PayPal.
