    Hi there,

We run a site with about 187 affiliates and 17 creatives and lots of sales. In August we did switch hosting platforms and the new hosting uses Varnish caching, and that’s when we noticed the drop off so it must be something hosting/caching related, but what is it and how do we need to configure things to get the plugin working properly?

We tried adding the wpam_id cookie to the Varnish exclusion list (screenshot: https://d.pr/free/i/nvA8lA) but this doesn’t seem to have made a difference. Very little else has changed besides hosting, and the plugin and commission tracking was working fine before the switch. Is there anything else we need to do to get the plugin working properly with Varnish?

    Please help, thanks!

Also, I did read through these two related topics:

Cookies not being set from clicks

    Affiliate Purchases not generating commissions

But could not find an actual solution that applied to our situation.

@anyayurenya, We had a few users with this cookie issue and they had either varnish or some kind of caching enabled on the server. We don’t really know what their web hosts did to fix it. You can tell your host that the plugin is trying to set a cookie named “wpam_id” using PHP’s setcookie function when the “init” action hook is triggered in WordPress.

I actually manage the hosting and checked with the hosting company and they just excluded wpam_id from the cache like I said I had already did, and we’re still experiencing issues with commissions. Any other ideas?
