Affiliate Purchases not generating commissions

I just did a test purchase using an affiliate link and it did not create an affiliate commission. I don’t think I can disable all of the plugins and then do a transaction because the site will not work if I disable all plugins except WP Affiliate Manager, so I don’t understand how to test the plugin if I disable all other plugins. Anyway, I gave someone my link and had them make a purchase and the commission did not happen. They used a coupon code, but I’m not sure if that matters…

Note: I had someone else do an affiliate purchase as well in addition to my purchasing in an incognito window…the other person’s affiliate link and purchase should have processed correctly.

@awbfirm, I clicked on the link you shared but no cookie was saved into my browser. That explains why our plugin couldn’t find it after the purchase.

Is this affiliate account active? Try deactivating one plugin at a time to see if something on your site is preventing our plugin from setting this cookie. You can follow these steps:

1) Deactivate a plugin
2) Open that link in your browser
3) Check for a cookie named “wpam_id” in your browser

If it’s not set, reactivate the plugin and repeat those steps with another plugin.

I just did these steps with all of my plugins except for the WP Affiliate Manager plugin, of course. I checked the link each time and the cookie is not showing up on the list (in Chrome, under Inspect > Application > Storage > Cookies)

I’m not sure if I did the test wrong or what, but I still can’t get this to work.

@awbfirm, Thank you for running this test. Did you select the correct site under Cookies?

Can you please contact your web host to see if they have enabled something on the server that would prevent PHP’s setcookie function from working properly?

I worked with my host to figure out whether there were settings blocking the affiliate cookies. They set up caching exclusions on my site to allow the cookies to be set and it works now… I’m not very sure what they did because I am somewhat new to working with WP, but it did work.

@Leon, No cookie got set when I clicked on the affiliate link. Please run the plugin test first and then contact your host.

@shadowlabs. I am still waiting for feedback from our hosting provider. I did however see this on the Chrome console. It seems like it may have something to do with Samesite. How will this be resolved with WP Affiliate Manager ?
