    I installed the plugin, and when I create a test affiliate a couple of things are happening:
    If the registration is done with a gmail account, no email is sent at all.
    If it is done with a yahoo account, an email is sent but there is no username/password. I have the shortcodes in the email settings: Your affiliate account for {blogname} has been approved!.

    Username: {affusername}
    Password: {affpassword}
    Login URL: {affloginurl}

    Please log into your account to get referral code.

    BUT: Affiliates are not showing up as approved under “My Affiliates” and the username/password info is not sent in the approval email. I have it set to automatically approve all new affiliates but they’re still not showing up under “approved”.
    This is the approval email I get when I use my yahoo account:

    New affiliate registration for : has been approved!

    Log into the site with your existing account and get started.

    And when I register with a gmail account, I get no email, not even the spam folder.

    Hi, Please do the following:

    1) Enable debug in the affiliates manager settings
    2) Reset the log file
    3) Do a test affiliate registration
    4) Go back to the settings and check the log file to see if the email was sent by the plugin

    Are you trying to register by logging in as an admin? If so no new WordPress user account will be created. You can either log out of wp-admin or open the registration page on a different browser to test it (where you are not logged into wp-admin).

    Ok I re-set the log file. I’m registering in a different browser with a gmail account. This is what the log file says, but I haven’t gotten an email to the email I registered with:
    [02/12/2016 2:38 PM] – ——– Log File Reset ——–
    [02/12/2016 2:40 PM] – SUCCESS : Affiliate Application for
    [02/12/2016 2:40 PM] – SUCCESS : Sending an email to [email protected]
    [02/12/2016 2:40 PM] – SUCCESS : Email was sent successfully by WordPress
    [02/12/2016 2:40 PM] – SUCCESS : New Affiliate Registration
    [02/12/2016 2:40 PM] – SUCCESS : Sending an email to [email protected]
    [02/12/2016 2:40 PM] – SUCCESS : Email was sent successfully by WordPress

    Also, none of my affiliates are showing up as “approved” and I have the box checked to auto approve affiliates.

    Thanks. The log file confirms that there was no error when WordPress sent the email. That means email is getting lost somewhere else. Usually this type of issue occurs on servers where there are various restrictions in place (example: number of outgoing emails, type of email address used). You can install a SMTP plugin to bypass these restrictions and send email using a SMTP server.
