Hello Shadow Labs,
First of all, this is a support request, but I cannot help but mention that I find the relationship with WP Simple Paypal Shopping Cart (by Tips & Tricks) plugin confounding. The developers behind that very solid app (which I have used for well over a year satisfactorily) have apparently developed their own affiliate app, ‘WordPress Affiliate Platform Plugin’ which syncs with their Simple Shopping Cart plugin. However, WP Affiliate Manager also claims to integrate with WP Simple Paypal Shopping Cart (and the link even goes to their plugin in the WordPress plugin marketplace). What I am getting at is that the relationships create confusion for plugin users. This is compounded by the fact that the WP Simple Shopping Cart plugin offers a setting for users to click that is really only applicable for their owm very-similarly-named apps. If I didn’t know better now, I would assume that the two affiliate pugins were one and the same.
Anyway, now that I have had plenty of time to wrap my head around things, my burning question is how to deal with the fact that the affilate link tests I have run thus far do not reflect affiliate commsissions either in the site’s affilate section or the affiliate dashboard. The wpam-log.txt file reports:
‘[05/22/2015 6:25 PM] – SUCCESS : Simple WP Cart Integration – Commission tracked for transaction ID: 2A1889123K832850W. Purchase amt: 0.49’
Could the issue with the commssions not being refleced in the dashboards have anything to do with the fact that the [test] sales are less than $1.00?
Thank you very much,
DJ
May 23, 2015 at 4:19 am #920adminKeymasterIt is saying that the commission is tracked. If you go to the affiliates dashboard, you don’t see that commission?
May 23, 2015 at 7:06 am #921vivelifestylenetworkParticipantNo, the commission does not reflect anywhere within the My Affiliates > AID 1 > Balance/Earnings (and the affiliate is ‘active’), nor within the affiliate’s dashboard under sales/revenue. The bounty type is set at 20%, and this is also reflected in the My Affiliates > AID 1 > Overview section, as well as the affiliate’s dashboard.
Just to be completely transparent, here is a complete transaction snippet from the spam-log.txt report for a different transaction than the one above:

- WordPress version 4.2.2 is installed;
- Jetpack 3.5.3 is installed (has created headaches for me with another site/theme in the past);
- This issue has persisted with the ‘Use WP Affiliate Platform’ box inside of WP Simple Paypal Shopping Cart checked/un-checked;
- I unfortunately only ticked ‘Enable Debug’ in WP Affiliate Manager before the final two test transactions, both of which I have shared the outcomes above;
- I only ticked ‘Enable Debug’ in WP Simple Paypal Shopping Cart before my final test transaction.*
* I am happy to share this with you if you feel it would be necessary.
On the other hand, you are welcome to take a look yourself behind the scenes if that’s easier.
I really, really appreciate your expertise in this matter. Hopefully I have provided some clues to help you identify where the problem might be. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Thank you 🙂
