Duplicating Commission Transactions?

I’m using WP Affiliate Manager in conjunction with Paid Memberships Pro. As I go through my commissions data I’m seeing that nearly every order is showing up twice in my dashboard – once with a Transaction ID like – 5BBD6C845C and then again with a Transaction ID like – 5BBD6C845C_2021-08-03 . This is really messing up my program since that indicates that my affiliates should be paid twice for each sale (especially since I give my affiliates half of the overall purchase price of the membership – I can’t give them the whole sale!)

I’m also wondering if there’s any possibility of support being given to only grant a commission on the initial purchase and not on subsequent renewals? I had assumed that was how this was set up when I first configured it and it is what I would prefer. My users would also like to be able to see the names on the orders for who has signed up using their referral link. Is there any chance of either of these features being added in?

@techiechic, Do you have the debug option enabled in the affiliates manager settings? If not please enable debug and make a test purchase so we can check the log.

Sorry a few other things were higher priorities for a little bit but I’m back to looking at my affiliate program. I have the debug log enabled, where can I send a link to that log for assistance figuring out what’s causing the duplicates?

You can see that this one sale is logged twice, but with slightly different transaction IDs and the commission is awarded twice.

Yes, through Paid Memberships Pro

It appears that the duplicated commissions are occurring on the renewal transactions but not the original transactions (i.e. when someone signs up it processes the commission just once, like it should, but the next month it duplicates it). Any ideas on why that might be happening?

@techiechic, Can you please share the debug log for the first payment of the subscription? What happens if it’s just a one-time payment (no subscription)?

The only product we sell is a subscription so there are no one time payments. Here is an example debug log from a first time subscriber –

@techiechic, Thanks. Is it possible for you to make a one-time payment with a test product? We want to make sure that it works before making any new changes.

I created a non-recurring subscription for testing purposes, here is the log from some sample transactions. The first two I selected “pay by check” and the affiliate didn’t register at all, which I think might be a completely separate issue. I used the same link that included an affiliate code for all 3 transactions.
