ParticipantHello,
I have a membership site with Woocommerce memberships and some of my members want to be affiliates. When an existing user of my site registers for Affiliate program, they get an email (after their account has been approved) that instructs them to login with their existing account. The email doesn’t include the login URL. Is there a way to edit this email and add a login URL? Thank you.

ModeratorHi, can you check the following Affiliates -> Settings -> Messaging -> affiliate_application_approved_email? Is this the email message you are referring to?

ParticipantYes. affiliate_application_approved_email goes out only to new users of the site (i.e., people who don’t have a user account on my site). I need the same email to go out to all new affiliates, whether they have a user account (i.e., they are my members) or they are completely new to my site.

ModeratorSo currently if a member of your site tries to sign up to become an affiliate the e-mail is not sent out? Is that what is currently happening?
Do you have the following add-on installed?

ParticipantYes, that’s correct. Instead of the affiliate_application_approved_email they receive an email that tells them to login to their affiliate account using their existing username and password. But there is no link to the login page. Ideally, I would like them to receive affiliate_application_approved_email.
Also, I am not sure which add-on you refer to. I have Affiliate Manager plugin and I have Woo Commerce plugin. The page you linked to didn’t have any other add-ons mentioned there.

ModeratorThe e-mail are receiving is not coming from the Affiliate plugin. I think that is coming from WoorCommerce or WordPress?

Keymaster@govology, Are you signing up for an affiliate account while logged in as a WordPress user?
April 5, 2016 at 7:18 pm #1845govology
ParticipantNo, I just checked. I am a registered user on my site. I logged out and then completed the affiliate registration form. I used a different browser to approve this registration. Then I went back to my email and saw this email
“New affiliate registration for Govology-U: has been approved!
Log into the site with your existing account and get started.
In sum, I wasn’t logged into my site when I registered.

KeymasterLet me do some testing. Can you please provide a link to your registration page so I can set up a test account?

KeymasterThanks. So you are basically creating the account with WooCommerce? I believe that’s where the problem is. Some plugins override the default WordPress login behaviour so you can only login using that plugin. Does this login issue occur if you temporarily deactivate WooCommerce?
