How does affiliate set up text link in his website?

Hi. How does the affiliate set up a text link in his website?

I did the following as an affiliate, but results are not what I expected.

1. Got the text link from my affiliate control panel in the ‘Creatives’ tab.
<a href="//sitename.com/employer?wpam_id=1" title="Go">Hire workers on Sitename</a>

2. Pasted the code (as shown above) into my site.

The final result for the text link was exactly the same as in 1. It just showed the code.
Should’nt it appear as: Hire Workers on Site Name with the text linked to https://sitename.com/employer?wpam_id=1

What went wrong?

Hi, Did you copy and paste the full HTML code from one of your creatives or did you just copy and paste the value shown in this field – Your Affiliate Link Using Affiliate ID?
