    Hello again,

OK, have just updated my version of this plugin and see that in the “Settings” menu I can now check the box that means that my affiliate will get notified every time an affiliate sale is made. This is progress! However… I still cannot understand why I, as the admin of the site and the payer of commissions, aren’t also given this information? I don’t want to have my affiliates to have to inform me that a sale has come via one of their links – that’s really unprofessional. I want to look after my affiliates well – and this doesn’t enable me to do that. It’s clunky and awkward. Please advise – or else just please ask the developers to add an option that enables me to get the same email as the affiliate does when an affiliate sale is made. I can’t think that would be so difficult to implement?

Look forward to hearing back from you… thanks very much!

Hi, I understand what you mean. However please read the following documentation. This explains how this plugin functions.

If you still think that your requirement is needed, let me know and I will notify the developers about your request.

    Kind regards

    HI there,

Thanks for that. I understand what you mean too. I do still think it would be a good addition to let the site admin know when an affiliate sale has been made though. It just seems more professional that way. I will keep checking my affiliates’ earning records too so thanks for bringing that to my attention – but yeah, I still think notifying the admin too would a good move. It improves communication throughout the whole affiliate process – and means that site admins have the opportunity to thank their affiliates for the sale, should they wish to (something I consider to be particularly important for first-time sales for example). I think this kind of courtesy is valuable to have as an option in any business relationship. Just my two cents’ worth, but there it is! Thanks for all of your help with this, much appreciated!

I feel that there maybe some misunderstandings here. I will try to clarify some of the things in this post.

You don’t pay commissions by looking at a notification email. I am not sure what you are talking about there. On a normal site where you get multiple sales everyday, you won’t be able to keep track by looking at an email. That just wouldn’t be a good system.

There is a proper system in the plugin that tracks all the commissions and lets the admin see ALL the sales that are coming in via affiliate referrals. The admin can view all the commissions in the “Commissions” menu of the plugin. You can log into the site and go to that menu whenever you want to check the affiliate referrals that are coming in.

Regarding the affiliate payout, please read the following documentation that explains how the payout works:

    How Affiliate Payout Works

If you fully read that carefully, it will make a lot of sense as to how an affiliate system works

Your affiliates can also log into their affiliate portal and view the referrals, sales and payouts. There is an option in the settings that you can enable to notify the affiliates when a sale comes in via their referral link.

    Hi there,

No – I understand all of that. But my previous comments/suggestions still stand. I am very aware that commissions only get paid once a month. I am very aware that I can go in and track them. But I have a very personal relationship with all of my affiliates and so I would like to be kept informed as to how they are doing as it happens. Yes, I can look at their stats every day if I want to – but a notification email being sent to me as well as the affiliate would be a simpler and more direct way of this happening. That’s all I’m saying. It’s just how I like to do things – etiquette and nurturing relationships with my affiliates is important to me. Perhaps others – including yourself – don’t agree with me – but I can’t speak for anyone else. But please rest assured there are no misunderstandings on my part as to how your system works, simply a suggestion as to how I believe it could work better (which is obviously just my opinion) – and I do appreciate the help you (or Mrbsolution??) have given me with this entire thread. Thank you!
