Hi there, just had this plugin set up and getting affiliates now.
Do the affiliates have to use the HTML codes to enter links to their posts, or can they just add their affiliate ID to the end of normal website page links, so they can use their tracked links on Twitter etc?
Have a few affiliates asking me how to use the program so all help greatly appreciated!!
Many thanks,
Pascale
Hi, Simply adding an affiliate ID to the end of the URL will do the job.
Thank you for your quick response, I will tell my affiliates.
Can I just check, to enter the HTML versions stored under Creatives, they copy & paste the code into their html text editor, then when the text is posted the ‘link text’ will show in their article? But if the affiliates don’t have access to a html text editor they will just have to add their ID’s to the end of the web page addres?
Thanks for confirming,
Pascale

– You’re right.

– By the HTML text editor, do you mean the WordPress editor in text mode? If so every administrator of a site should have access to it. This is very simple. An affiliate writes an article/review and creates a link in it that points to a page on your site.

The target URL must contain ‘?wpam_id=AFFILIATEID’ so the plugin can track the click and give commission for it if the user decides to purchase something from your store.
