InactiveOn our Affiliate Login Page… When someone clicks… Lost your password?… It returns a 404… Page Not Found
I cannot find their password the affiliate originally used when registering in their record or I could email their password back to them.
Is there a password reset page or an autoresponder with their password.
I suppose I am missing something somewhere… I’m stuck… Can anyone help?
Thank you,
Tom Ruley

KeymasterHi, That URL is automatically generated by WordPress. So I’m not sure how this could lead to a 404 error. Please provide a link to your affiliate login page so I can take a look.

InactiveI have arrived at a solution regarding getting a 404 when clicking “Lost Password” but there still is a problem…
When someone clicks “Lost your password?”, a new page shows
http://www.nrotc.org/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword… with the following text:
Please enter your username or email address. You will receive a link to create a new password via email. When someone enters their email address and clicks “Get New Password” … a new page shows
http://www.nrotc.org/wp-login.php?checkemail=confirm… saying… Check your email for the confirmation link. All is good up to here except that when opening this email the following text is in the body of the email:
Someone has requested a password reset for the following account:
http://www.nrotc.org/Username:[email protected]If this was a mistake, just ignore this email and nothing will happen. To reset your password, visit the following address:There is NO following address to follow. I am at a loss. Can you offer any help?

KeymasterThat doesn’t make sense. This is a WordPress feature which seems to be working fine on our development site. Do you have any plugin that could override this functionality? Please provide a link to your registration page so I can do a test registration and reset the password afterwards.

InactiveI am unaware of any plugin that may be causing a conflict although I am not ruling it out as a possibility. Yes please test it from your end at
http://www.nrotc.orgLook for “Affiliate Login” on our right scrollbar (widget)

KeymasterThanks. It looks like the form is not doing anything. it just refreshes every time I click on the submit button. I can see that you made some customisation to the registration form by adding a field for SSN. Can you temporarily uncheck that field and see how it goes? You also added a lot of content to the registration page. It comes with just the registration form by default. So It’s really hard to see any warning/error.

InactiveThank you for your help so far and thanks to you I am getting issues resolved one by one as we go.
Now there appears to be another problem… I am sorry.
I created a test affiliate account. Free free to use it if you need to:
[email protected] pass: fFv3z5w7F&UPWhen I go to
http://www.nrotc.org/affiliate-home/affiliate-login/and login with these credentials, I arrive at
http://www.nrotc.org/affiliate-program-details/and NOT control panel
In settings I have
http://www.nrotc.org/affiliate-program-details/listed as Affiliate Home URLI have tried logging in with this removed and added it again and it seems to make no difference. Maybe this link is stuck in a php file somewhere. This is just a guess.
I have tried logging out and logging back in again to no avail.
You have been very helpful so far… Any suggestions on how to have an affiliate arrive at control panel when they login instead of
http://www.nrotc.org/affiliate-program-details/?Thank you again… Tom

KeymasterThanks. I checked the HTML code. It looks like the redirection URL is being overriden by something on your site.
Your affiliate home page is here:
http://www.nrotc.org/affiliate-home/(which shows the dashboard when logged in). But it’s redirecting tohttp://www.nrotc.org/affiliate-program-details/. It also does an automatic redirection to the same page when I log out. So I checked our login widget and found this peice of code.<p class="login-submit"> <input type="submit" name="wp-submit" id="wp-submit" class="button button-primary" value="Log In"> <input type="hidden" name="redirect_to" value="http://www.nrotc.org/?page_id=6908"> </p>This page is not created by our plugin. So there is no way our plugin can redirect to this page.
