    This may not have anything do with any plugin. Usually it happens on shared hosting environment where there are restrictions in place for outgoing email. That’s why users configure a SMTP server (using a SMTP plugin) so all outgoing emails are sent from the SMTP server (instead of your web server).

    So, I added SMTP plugin, it is configured. I did a test Affiliate, and approved. I made sure I checked terms and conditions (actually was forced to) and now.
    Affiliate Status Approved
    Affiliate has been approved, but has not accepted terms.

    Thanks. Before I do another test I want to make sure the email templates are set up correctly. Can you please go to the messaging tab in the settings (Affiliates > Settings > Messaging) and check the content of this template?

    That’s not right. It should be set to the following:

    Your affiliate account for {blogname} has been approved!.

    Username: {affusername}
    Password: {affpassword}
    Login URL: {affloginurl}

    Please log into your account to get referral code.

    You must have edited this. That’s why the username and password didn’t come to my inbox upon registration.

    Ok, made those changes. Then did a test. When I approved it, it stays Approved not Active.

    Thanks. I received an email with the username and password. Then I logged into the affiliate area, accepted the terms and conditions and selected my payment method. My affiliate account should be active now.
