Track form submissions

In my case we are selling services, and people do not “buy” online – they contact us through a contact form, and some go onto buy, but not through a product or service sale on the site, so there is no online sale.

My question is I want to track leads that come from affiliates that fill out and send us a form – so we can manually track whether they went on to become clients.

I cannot see how this is done, so any help would be much appreciated.
