Tagged: randomly assigned affiliate
When someone enters the website without an affiliate link, then there should be NO commissions for any affiliate.
I have noticed that the affiliate plugin does assign the independent visitor to an affiliate.
It should be possible that visitors can visit the website without an affiliate link, buy something and that’s it. The commissions should not be assign to a (random?) affilate, it shouldbe assigned to no on.
Why is this happening on my website?
Have you enabled Disable Own Referrals under Advanced Settings?
This option is not enabled in my settings. In my knowledge this is for affiliates who wants to buy with their own link.
The problem is when someone accidentally enters my website and decides to buy. This customer did NOT enter the website by an affiliate link! But the affiliate plugin assigns this order to an (randomly choosen?) affiliate.
This is really a problem for me. I do not want to pay commissions to an affiliate which hwhen cutsomers have not used an affilitae link
@hellenb1, It’s not possible for the plugin to reward a commission if the customer never visited your site via an affiliate link (because there won’t be any affiliate cookie in the customer’s browser). Do you have the debug option enabled in the affiliates manager settings? Which integration option are you using?
I am also willing to start the affiliate marketing blog as I know about a lot of lucrative programs. At the same time have been making a list of the best marketing options to grow the sales. I have also got the suggestions to use the app to use the
slack to sms app for bulk sms campaigns. Was just wondering if you can shed some light on using this technique for affiliate marketing.
